As a sole proprietor of an innate sense to seek out all things Instagram-esque(which is another way of saying I got mad good taste), I thought it a matter of social media courtesy that I shed light on the new kid on the block turned prom king for the hottest cafe this year thus far: Bukku Cafe – and the year is young.
There’s something magical about a backyard completely stripped of gauche decorations and “flair”, leaving behind a skeleton reminiscent of a peaceful family gathering straight from a family-friendly movie or if you’re more romantically inclined, a couple sitting side-to-side whispering sweet nothings to the slow tune of Marvin Gaye playing in the background(Yeah, I watch way too many movies). Bukku got me amped up.

What’s In It For Me?
If there was ever a cafe equivalent of (bear with me..) airplane mode – when the barrage of notifications from all avenues are hitting you from every which way – and you need to opt out of reality to gather your senses, I can think of no better place besides Bukku that’ll offer you that much-needed respite. Ironically, this establishment screams of peace and solitude. As a proud Millennial, who’s joined at the hips with his smartphone, and is humbly a swiping addict(up, down, left, right… you name it), there comes a time when living in the present is all the more sweeter. Thank you, Ready Player One.(who ever said movies was a waste of time). Since we’re riding on this spiritual-monk-meditation-internet-less theme, try your darndest not to whip out your phone in a mad Instagram craze, ya? Definitely opt for the Matcha or Salted Egg Yolk Croissants; only if happiness is your thing.
